Programming Languages

Our team of website programmers are well versed in HTML, ASP, PHP, CFM, FLASH, and Perl. No job is too big or too small.

HTML - HyperText Markup Language. A markup language based on but simpler than SGML used to annotate hypertext documents for publication on the World Wide Web, to take advantage of the WWW;s capacity to connect documents and sections of documents across the Net.

ASP - Active Server Pages. Active Server Pages is an open, compile-free application environment in which you can combine HTML, scripts, and reusable ActiveX server components to create dynamic and powerful web-based business solutions. Active Server Pages enables server-side scripting for IIS with native support for both VBScript and JScript.

PHP - Hypertext Preprocessor is an open source server side programming language extensively used for web scripts and to process data passed via the Common Gateway Interface from HTML forms etc. PHP can be written as scripts that reside on the server and may produce HTML output that downloads to the web browser. Alternatively, PHP can be embedded within HTML pages that are then saved with a .php file extension. The PHP sections of the page are then parsed by the PHP engine on the server and the PHP code stripped out before the page is downloaded to the web browser

CFM - Cold Fusion Markup (file.cfm) CGI Common Gateway Interface. An interface-creation scripting program that allows Web pages to be made on the fly based on information from buttons, checkboxes, text input, etc.

FLASH - Animation software used to develop interactive graphics for Web sites as well as desktop presentations and games (Windows and Mac) by the company Macromedia. Flash on the Web is displayed by a browser plug-in. Non-Web presentations are run by a Flash player, included on a floppy or CD-ROM. Flash can be used to create vector-based graphics in one or more timelines that provide a sequential path for actions.

Perl - Acronym for Practical Extraction and Report Language. A powerful, compact programming language that draws from the capabilities of languages like C, Pascal, sed, awk, and BASIC, Perl is emerging as a main language of choice for CGI programs. This is partly due to its portability and the many platforms on which it is currently supported, and also due to its ability to easily manipulate text and ease of use of system services in UNIX.
